Introduction
Made in 1963 for racing drivers, the Cosmograph Daytona measures elapsed time and average speed. The 2023 generation, reference 126500LN, keeps the 40 mm Oystersteel case and refines it in the details: the black monobloc Cerachrom bezel is framed by a thin steel rim, and its tachymetric scale, up to 400 units per hour, is moulded into the ceramic itself. The white dial carries black counters for 30 minutes, 12 hours and the small seconds, hour markers in 18 ct white gold and Chromalight hands that glow blue in the dark. Inside is calibre 4131, a self-winding chronograph with a column wheel and a vertical clutch, the Chronergy escapement and about 72 hours of power reserve, certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The Triplock crown and the pushers screw down, and the watch is waterproof to 100 metres. The Oyster bracelet closes with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp and the Easylink extension, which adds 5 mm.
